With all due respect doesn’t the SEC have an agreement with the Liberty Bowl that precludes in-state pairings and regular-season rematches and that if such a scenario were likely to arise it would switch slots with the Music City Bowl? Too bad for Southern Miss-Mississippi State…

You sir are an idiot. When is the last time you have even been to a Mizzou game in Columbia. Perhaps game day last year…..when they had the largest turnout of any previous game day. I’ll give you Utah (2004), Boise State (2006), Wake Forest (2006), Hawaii (2007), Cincinnati (2008), and UConn (2009)…and I’m giving Louisville the benefit of the doubt regarding their Fiesta Bowl appearance…

You also forgot to note that Stanford appeared in a “BCS” Rose Bowl (1999)…

You need to check facts before you post on SI. So, LSU needs to be dropped in the human polls behind Wisconsin and Stanford eh? Have you looked @ the Coaches Poll (which actually counts, you know, unlike the AP poll) to see that Wisconsin is #5, LSU #6?

Did you watch the game? Did you see how well Masoli and Ole Miss played? Nope, pretty sure you were glued to a mediocre Big Ten battle between Northwestern and Illinois that could only go in one direction. The Big Ten can’t even figure out basic geometry…
